AMLS is a course that addresses how to best assess and manage the most common medical emergencies in patients, inviting participants to "think outside the box".
It is delivered using a hybrid model. This involves a blended learning concept, where the theory is covered online in advanced, followed by a one-day practical session.
It is for all levels of Practitioners with a strong commitment to patient care, including Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Advanced Paramedics, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Doctors. The interactive, case-based lectures include the following topics:
- Altered Mental Status and Neurologic Disorders,
- Respiratory Dysfunction,
- Shock,
- Chest Discomfort,
- Endocrine, Metabolic and Environmental Disorders,
- Abdominal Discomfort,
- Infectious Disease, and
- Toxicological Emergencies.
Outcome: Certification from NAEMT
16 CPC Education Hours.
