Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Blended Learning version)

  • The official PALS course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills of all Healthcare Professionals, so that they may efficiently evaluate, and effectively manage the condition of seriously ill infants and children.
  • Students must complete a pre-course e-learning programme prior to attending.
  • Short case-based teaching stations build upon the knowledge gained in the pre-course learning programme.
  • Skill stations teach the fundamental practical skills of paediatric emergency care such as, defibrillation, airway management and intraosseous (IO) access.
  • The knowledge and skills are combined in case-based simulations examining various aspects of paediatric emergency care.
  • Students complete the theory part of the course online, followed by attending the 1-day skills practice and assessment session.

 

Recognised for 16 CPC Points for PHECC-Registered EMTs
