AMLS is a sixteen-hour, two-day course consisting of interactive lectures, teaching and evaluation stations. The course addresses how to best assess and manage the most common medical emergencies in patients, inviting participants to “think outside the box”.
It is for all levels of Practitioners with a strong commitment to patient care, including Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Advanced Paramedics, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Doctors. The interactive, case-based lectures include the following topics:
- Altered Mental Status and Neurologic Disorders,
- Respiratory Dysfunction,
- Shock,
- Chest Discomfort,
- Endocrine, Metabolic and Environmental Disorders,
- Abdominal Discomfort,
- Infectious Disease, and
- Toxicological Emergencies.
Outcome: Certification from NAEMT
16 CPC Education Hours.
